A queen must always wear her crown... especially on her birthday! Inspired by Audrey Hepburn and growing up watching Breakfast at Tiffany's every Sunday (a trait shared by Blair Waldorf) I couldnt help a few diamonds.
Despite spending months and months trying to think of a theme for my birthday, I found myself on a Sunday morning watching Breakfast at Tiffany's- my weekly ritual, where it occurred me, why not inspire my seventeenth birthday by someone who has inspired me my whole life? Audrey’s gracious style and elegance has always acted as the muse of my dress sense.
Almost instantaneously I set out to find invitations, because whats a party without the perfect invitations? After some intense googling, it was love at first sight, Loralee Lewis had the most fitting invitations for the occasion. Loralee Lewis is known for bringing sophistication to whimsical designs and who doesn’t want event paper from a brand which has clients such as VOGUE and Gwen Stefani. So there was the second tick on my list. Theme. Check. Invites. Check. all we have left is a food menu, drinks menu, decor, favours, birthday outfit, tiara- because every lady must wear a crown, even if its not your birthday ‘always wear your invisible crown’, and most importantly a cake!
Well this was an easy one because I already knew exactly which cake design I would like, so I attached some images and drafted a message to my personal favourite baker with exact details from pearl size to text font on the cake. Anyone who knows me, will tell you that I am a perfectionist, every detail must reach its acme. I had no doubt about the location as my house sets the exact boudoir and parisian atmosphere I would like, from the smallest of details such as the doorstops to the embellishments on the chaise lounge. To add the final touches to my gathering, I found Breakfast at Tiffany’s props from a boutique on etsy. I absolutely love etsy because you can find the most unique items there, be it vintage or contemporary. For those of you who aren’t familiar with etsy it is a global marketplace and community where creative entrepreneurs can sell or curate.
Besides, Breakfast at Tiffany’s props are always a good idea ;-)

I simply ADORE this jumpsuit, it is classy, sophisticated and chic all in one! With a combination of shorts and a front skirt its both comfortable and flattering.
